Fall is finally here and I have officially transformed into my ultimate basic white girl with pumpkin flavored everything, planning apple picking activities, and watching Hocus Pocus on repeat. However, this sudden second summer in Central New York has prevented me from whipping out my flannels and scarves but that’s why this outfit has been perfect for our warm autumn.

Fun fact: this outfit is actually several months in the making. I purchased this romper on sale for $15 at the tail end of fall last year with the intention of pairing it with this faux fur vest but never got around to photographing it for the blog. This was back in my Taxi Cabs and City Streets days, the OG’s know. Lucky for me, it is still on trend and I got to have my fabulous photographer Molly snap it for me! This rust color pairs great with the foliage and the combo of long sleeves and shorts give off autumn vibes without sweating in the late September heat.

One of my favorite pieces to wear in the fall is this faux fur vest. In this look, I love how it compliments the romper and adds more dimension to an otherwise simple outfit. This find is shockingly from Burlington Coat Factory. I was with my mom when I spotted it and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and affordability. Don’t knock it until you try it is all I’m saying.

I finished off the look with chestnut colored booties and gold and rose gold accessories. This color palette makes me want to watch a Casey Holmes warm smokey eye tutorial immediately. Side note, can we talk about those detail shots below?! My photographer Molly is a magician.

What’s your favorite piece to wear in the autumn? Let me know in the comments!
