Happy first day of spring, lovelies! It’s hard to believe it is officially spring when we just got 36 inches of snow thanks to Stella, but I am trying to think warm thoughts! Today I’m talking about one of my favorite current trends: off-the-shoulder tops. If you follow me on Instagram, (which you should, hello!) you will notice how often I wear cold shoulder tops. They are incredibly flattering on many body types and can be easily transitioned from winter to spring with just a change up of material or color!
There are a variety of types of cold shoulder tops. Some have elastic in the neckline and sit just off the shoulders, some have straps to support the top, others do not show off the neckline and only expose a small part of the shoulder, some are one shoulder, or you may find some off-the-shoulder crop tops (my summer staple from last year)! No matter what you like, there is an off-the-shoulder top for everyone!
So let’s dive into a few that I found online shall we?!
- This is an adorable top from Goodnight Macaroon, a boutique that I have mentioned on my blog before. While their shipping is a steep price to pay, the pieces I have purchased from Goodnight Macaroon are always great quality and bring me lots of compliments. This specific top is a gingham print and has adorable bell sleeves, another current popular trend. This top is available on Goodnight Macaroon’s website here for $65.
- I love me some Linsey Layne Boutique! I just featured them in my last post and raved about their super cool, bohemian vibe. This top is one that only exposes some of the shoulders. It is more for the low-maintenance girl as you don’t have to worry about the shoulders riding up, like you may run into with the first pick. This top is available in Linsey Layne Boutiques in New Hartford and Ithaca and is also available on their website here for $38!
- I know I have mentioned Tobi before and how much I LOVE their stuff. If you look back in previous blog posts and on my Instagram, I know there are several rompers and tops I have worn from Tobi.com. Plus, they have amazing customer service. Once, I received a wrong item and they overnighted me the correct piece before I even returned the wrong item I received. I cannot say enough good things about them. Anyway, this top is pretty simple with a gorgeous crochet-like trim. I could picture myself wearing this top with a pair of shorts and booties to a summer concert. It is available ON SALE at Tobi.com here for $39!
- This top is. a. steal. It is from H&M, always a great place to find spring trends, for only $12.99. Yeah, you read that right. Throw on some white skinny jeans and some wedges and this is the perfect outfit to wear to a spring picnic. Buy it here!
- The one shoulder tops from the 80’s are making a comeback and I could not be happier! This specific top is from Storets, which always has very fashion-forward pieces without the fashion-forward price. The first thing I bought from Storets was an off-the-shoulder top as seen here. This blouse looks like it’s straight off the runway and would look so cute with a pair of black jeans and heels. Find it on Storets’ website here for $74.
- This top is another low-maintenance top as you don’t have to worry about the sleeves riding up or falling too low. Pictured here in a beautiful watermelon red color, this top is also available in bright pink at Francesca’s. Get it here for $34.
Many of these sites have other adorable off-the-shoulder tops that you should definitely check out! I have purchased from all of these websites and have never been disappointed!
